Future Home

So sorry for the lack of post guys, i've been so busy lately dealing with academic thingies (finals are just around the corner, in fact i've just finished my first exam today), some student body activities, and some works relating on the environmental foundation i'm in, while on the other hand, i actually have a lot to share, from some events i attended weeks earlier and from my BIRTHDAY!! -mine was on May 8 :)

Neways, here are some things i (badly) want for my house, or even better, my 'future' house ;)

1. a stylish huge bookshelf,

i badly need this one, my books are scattered all round

2. a 70s inspired stuhl,

two words, uber.cool.

3. a sewing corner,

i must admit, i can't sew, but a sewing corner with a cute sewing machine is a must for a vintage inspired home. and frankly, i believe it can also motivate me into learning how to sew *LOL*

4. a pastel-colored kitchen wall,

a boring white kitchen wall can be pesky sometimes

5. a nice kitchen cabinet,

it's a must ;)

images from desire to inspire

another posts, including outfit posts will be up soon after finals.
in the mean time, take care! :)

*cheers*

Questions & Answers

This is actually my very first Questions & Answers section, I'm inspired by the fabulous Couture Carrie!! I'm so excited to share my things with all of you, but since I'm not used to this, I can say that this post is a bit 'a mess', but I've tried my best, so enjoy, and share yours! :)

I'm tagging all those bloggers who read this post, I can't wait to read your Q&A thing.. :)

What is your current obsessions?
heels & wedges, floral summer dresses (something for the holiday, i'm in love with these jessica simpson for women delanco and this yellow chiffon floral dress from forever 21) , the sociology of ethnicity (one of my 'can't get enough' subject), and halfmoon fish (they are adorable!!)

What are you wearing t
oday?
well, it's still 6 am in the morning here in my hometown, still wearing my nightgown, but I'm planning to change this attire with a pair of vintage-washed jeans, a super-comfy oversized tee, a pair of flip-flops, and a comfy tote for I'm going to campus afterwards, working on my group's reseach design (it's due today at 3 pm!). after that, I'm planning to have a pedicure, and going for a lil shoes shopping with my lovely bf :)

What do you think about the person who tagged you?
Couture Carrie a.k.a CC, she's a fabulous lady with a personality! I've been a fan of her for a long time! truly adore her! :)

LA, to meet on of my best girl, Livia, make sure she's OK, and conquering the big city together ;)

What are your favorite quotes?
"Science may be described as the art of systematic over-simplification." (Karl Popper)

What is your favorite piece of clothing in your own closet?
too many! my closet's a mess! really! but I really love some of super-comfy tees, that are actually some man's tee.. I have no idea why man's tee can be so oversized yet so sexy and stylish to wear anytime with anything, from a pair of very neat high-waisted stuffs to a pair of thrashed jeans, from a pair of flip-flops to a fabulous designer heels.. I guess the olsen twins would agree with the statement ;)

What is your dream job?
a sociologist! lecturer, researcher, writer, you name it!

Favorite models?
Gemma Ward and Daria Werbowy, there's something about them I just can't resist although I'm still hooked up with the models of the 90's era, my all time fave is LINDA EVANGELISTA! she's just too gorgeous!!

 Favorite designers?
a lot from classic Calvin Klein to trendy Marc Jacobs! but recently, Dianne Von Furstenberg, her spring collection is always inspiring!

What do you consider a fashion faux pas?
those people who wear anything that's displayed on the fashion magazine without considering their age, body-type, and etc, I can't stand fashion victim..

 Describe your personal style:
I'm a classic, with a twist.. a classy quirky.. someone that you can't never guess what to wear next ;). The celebrity whose style I can mostly relate to is Ashley Olsen..

What's the most expensive fashion item you've ever purchased?
Calvin Klein ivory military jacket, it's soooo special! my girl picked the thing for me when it's on discount! (although it's still a bit expensive for an Indonesia college student, but since Calvin Klein is one of my all time fave designer, I just couldn't help purchasing it, and I'm GLAD I did.. ;) )

a Marni-inspired custom made heels, still waiting for the result :)

My Kind of Summer..

calling my girls, make sure they are all safely in town..

spending times with them, looking fabulous..

from brunch, lunch, to dinner
shopping,
or just chilling out with the preffered glass of cocktails in hands..

from the street to the beach,
the city's number one restaurants to little coffeeshops nearby,
or just simply
in each other's houses..

and after all has done,
I'll be back to the arms of my man :)

it's just my kind of summer :)

Leighton Meester (I just can't get my eyes off those prints!)

"I actually find Blair naïve. I look at young girls like her who are obsessed with guys and with being the most popular and the prettiest, and I just want to shake them. Maybe you just grow up a little faster when you’re a young performer, but I was definitely never like that."

"Not at all. If anything, it’s the opposite. Her style is a little expensive for my taste, but it loudly communicates that she is who she is and that she does what she does. I find that admirable. And she’s always dressed appropriately, which I can’t always say about myself."

Lace Up Your Shoes!

I was googling and doing some image hunting in the middle of my paper-writing thing when I found these adorable pair of shoes.. I was basically interested with them for they are very classic and unique at the same time. There's an avant garde feeling about these shoes. I can imagine these darlings worn by those girls on medieval times or so.

Sadly, I was too mesmerized and forgot to take notes on what they were, what sites were they belong to and so on, so I basically have no idea about the origin of these masterpieces :(

I've been obsessed with Lace Shoes ever since..

Neways, about weeks ago, I went blogwalking on one of my newest favourite blog, Catu. I was reading one of her post and I found out that Givenchy has a collection of Lace Shoes, which is GORGEOUS!! They have different styles of lace shoes. Every single one of them is too tempting I can't seem to pick one ;)

The Heels
The Bootie

this one was worn by Jennifer Connely, check it out here

The Flats

The Sandals

Some other brands also spotting some lace shoes..

Jimmy Choo

Oscar de La Renta

and the most affordable of all :)

Nine West

*oh, I want!*
